Manages the equipment for the FAAST GCRDC loan program such as wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs and evaluates. Oversees the FTRI Program with inventory and distribution of specialized telephone equipment. Performs daily data entry into CIL consumer database. Provides quality assurance of consumer records.
Networks with people with disabilities and assists them with self-advocacy issues as well as systemic advocacy issues. Works with media, businesses, state and local government agencies, public officials and individuals on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Chapter 11 of the Florida Statutes as they relate to issues such as accessible parking, transportation, emergency preparedness, education, housing, and employment.
The Associate Director will provide support to the Executive Director to carry out the CILDRC mission. The Associate Director will also support direct staff in providing IL services in the 4 counties we serve.
The Associate Director will be developing programs, securing funding and developing leadership with staff. Associate Director will empower people with disabilities.
Oversees and creates content for the Center’s key public platforms including: web and mobile sites, social media, newsletter, advertising, branding, digital media, and campaigns. Kayla also works on other collaborative projects with other members of the CILNWF team.
