Support For CILNWF

Winter, spring, summer, or fall, all the community has to do is call and CILNWF will be there!

We care about those we help and serve, and because donors like you care as well, we are able to support the needs that arise for people with disabilities.

Please join the Center for Independent Living of Northwest Florida’s Board of Directors, our staff and myself as we continue to bridge the seasons’ needs with your generosity.

Other ways to Support CILNWF

Your Gift in Kind, How it Works For You

A Gift in Kind is a non-cash donation of goods or services that helps support our programs and services. Examples of GIK include office supplies, mobility aids, professional services, event sponsorships, and much more. These contributions directly enhance our ability to empower individuals with disabilities to live independently and achieve their goals.

When you make a Gift in Kind, you should be eligible for a tax deduction. Donating goods or services before the end of 2024 can help reduce your taxable income while significantly impacting the lives of those we serve. We recommend consulting with a tax professional for specific guidance on how to claim this deduction.

How to Donate a Gift in Kind:

1.    Identify your contribution: Think about items or services you or your organization could donate.

2.    Contact us: Reach out to discuss your donation and how it aligns with our needs.

3.    Document your gift: We will provide you with a receipt acknowledging your contribution, which you can use for tax purposes.

Whether through a financial donation or a Gift in Kind, your support is critical in helping us provide essential services and resources to individuals with disabilities in Northwest Florida.

Volunteering

Volunteering is based on your interest and our needs. Sometimes we need help picking or delivering equipment, sometimes copying and stuffing envelopes or flyers, or assisting to gather items, set up and take down events.

Contact Danny Broxson by email or phone to learn more.

Community Outreach

We also welcome communities, generous donations of items for our silent auction, and businesses or individuals to sponsor our organization events, programs, and services we provide.

Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4 PM for the public. We’re also out in the community for local collaborative events, outreach and presentations that may be outside of those time frames.

Donating Equipment

If you have equipment to donate, email us and send pictures of the items they have so that we can determine if it’s something that we can use. Items can be brought to our office.

Refurbishing Equipment

For donating refurbished, reuse and recycled items they can do that by contacting 850-595-5566 and speaking to the information specialist or leaving a message if one of us isn’t immediately available.

Get Involved

With gratitude we welcome you to be involved with the CIL! Let us know your interest and we will connect you to what we do in our four-county region!
